Looks like a convincing argument.

I've been very interested in this game. As a former City of Heroes/City of Villains player, I really miss a decent superhero game.

It looks alright to me. No classes, just powers, even better costume creation. The PvP games sound pretty damn cool too. Try and get into the beta if you can. Open beta should be coming up soon.

...see, unfortunately, I think you and I look for too entirely different things in games. For example, I do not care about Cryptic's "progressive business model", nor could I be convinced to. Alternatively, they tout certain elements as advantages that I do not appreciate the value in -- for example, while I do believe that I could pick a name which would not be oft duplicated, I fear that would not save me from the sea of Wolverines that would be running about pissing me the f' off by their very existence.

It's not that I'm anti-Champs Online -- actually I think it sounds like it will be a cool game, and I will probably try it out at some point in the future. But articles such as this do nothing to pique my interest. Sorry. :-P

Except that there would NOT be a sea of Wolverine's considering Cryptic does not allow clones in their games.

What about the character creator? What about the abilities to select your own powers as you wish instead of being locked into a class? NONE of that even remotely interests you?
