Me, along with the other Red Sox fans who don't wish we still had Millar and Nomar around have been disgusted by Francona practically the entire year. He has made similar decisions all season long and this was jus the straw that broke the camel's back. He said before the game and on national televsion that he would bring Papelbon to pitch at least 2 innings if the Red Sox had a lead at that point. There was no reason not too since Papelbon has gotten plenty of 2 inning saves before, used to be a starter and hadn't pitched in 4 days. He really fucked up this one... but not any more than he usually does. I hope the Red Sox miss the playoffs just so we can finally get rid of him.
What really bothers me is that the Red Sox are losing to the Yankees who are an equally incomplete team. If the Yankees are to make the playoffs, which isn't a sure thing as there's still a quarter of the season left, they have very little chance of advancing at all. Losing both Tek and Wakefield would hurt any team, I don't think it has anything to do with the Red Sox being a "paper tiger". If the Yankees lost their captain (Jeter), the guy that handles their pitching staff (Posada) and their second most consistent starter (Wang) they'd be in just as bad shape. The Red Sox get Wakefield back this week and Tek is due to be back soon. I said Francona fucked up, I didn't say the Red Sox season was done. I think your obnoxious arrogance is a little premature there buddy.
Don't bother. This guy got kicked out of his own team's community for being like this all the time. You're wasting your time trying to have any kind of logical communication with him.
