The predicament ended dramatically, with us making a concerted rush out of the door while shooting everywhere like maniacs. We were quite surprised to be the last ones standing when the dust cleared.
I've seen that film, but I thought it just faded to sepia at the point where they burst out of the door.
Not that I'm much of a gaming aficionado, but this game seems to me to generate a much higher rate of cool/cinematic moments than others I've played/watched. But I guess I never played GTA (well not since it was on the Amiga) cos the setting just didn't grab me at all. But The Wild WestTM is clearly a place of iconic wossnames.
Speaking of the shack, the AI gang also released a load of wild dogs or wolves or something which prowled around and snuck through the door and generally added a whole extra level of stuff to be wary of. Very nasty trick.
Mmm. That reminds me of the first time in a shooter (maybe Half Life or one of its add-on packs) when the mooks threw a grenade to flush me out of cover.
I remember being impressed to the extent that I just dithered and got blown up.
