As I drove home from work today, I heard about this test someone did in the states on restaurant ice. They went to I think 23 restaruants across the country and took ice samples. 4 of the samples came back failure. Reason of failure: quantity of fecal matter found. Fecal matter... I've been up north for the past week working at the Cigar Lake uranium mine. I was sent there to fill in for the other electrician while he was home for the week. It was pretty cool working underground, allbeit wet and dark. The conditions were better than I thought they'd be. And I get paid considerably more than I would have in the city. 12 ( Read more... )

The damage on Crissy's car is a lot more extensive than either of us thought it could be. The body shop guranteed repairs to SGI at around $13000. I didn't think that I could have done that much damage to the car. I don't think it's even worth getting a second opinion if the one body shop said it's nearly $6K more than the SGI adjuster said. The city turned off the water on our block yesterday afternoon. I guess there was a main break across the street or something. It sure sucked having no running water.
