Poetry was always a posh
independent woman who
wore clothes I had never
seen before and drove a fast
car that I saw maybe twice
each day.

Sometimes a song is written as if its intention is to violate gravity. Astor Piazzolla's tango-based opera Maria de Buenos Aires contains, or fails to contain, such a one.
There are many good versions, but all of them focus on the singing. Which is a pity, because this is written for movement as much as vocal bravura.

Are they still wolves
if they wag their tails?
This question seems important.
Our neighbours have a car
that imitates a house
going nowhere.
Their watchman's wife
washes it anyway
with five measured
tosses from a bucket.
I can't do anything
about this procession of women.
The car has no tail
to wag.
