packing omg
Today, I went through most of my clothes and pulled out winter clothes to be packed away and clothes I haven't worn for a while and clothes that don't fit to go to charity. I've still got a pile of jeans to try on and see if they fit. Also a few things to go into the needs tailoring pile; a skirt that needs to be taken up and a pair of pants that I think can be let down. If not, capris! Duh. I just now thought of that, for those and for another pair. :desk That'll make work more comfortable--the cutting table gets hot and doesn't have an air vent nearby.
I went through the movies and got rid of several. Like, 15 to 20. Could probably get rid of some more. We took all of our playstation 2 games in to Game Stop and got $50. We sold 40 or so--we just don't play the ps2 any more, plus we have the X-Box and Wii; 3 game systems (one of which we don't use) is just too many. So, Syd will get the PS2, 15 or so games, and the guitars for Guitar Hero. I held out games for her like GH, the action/adventure silly things, and Sims Castaway (which I need to get for Wii now)(someday).
Today I wrapped up all the shot glasses and got them packed away. I got the stoneware Nathan brought back from Afghanistan packed, and a lot of the other breakable stuff from the living room. I got the smaller pictures cleaned and packed. Managed to give myself a good gash on my right ring finger when I took the glass out of one so I could clean it better. Never even felt it. Noticed blood on the paper towel I was cleaning with. Put Neosporin and a bandaid on and kept cleaning the frames.
Little stuff. All little stuff, but it's a start. It's all little stuff until we have the truck and can pack the big stuff. :P Tomorrow I'll have boxes, and I can start packing books. Which will take a while. I'll cull those as I pack.
