I have been thinking about the old series of posts I wrote about good and evil. One of the biggest things that shocked me about that is the individual who argued that good and evil do not exist. I still disagree.

Here's the shortest explanation I can think of:
"Good," and, "Evil," are two labels invented by mankind to apply to the world. They have no inherent basis in the world around us, and are invented concepts to help us organize the world.

To be even shorter: holding and applying notions of good and evil is something that humans alone do, and is a projection upon the world.

they're not real, and are completely subjective. Looking for an objective right and wrong is cosmic tail-chasing of the highest magnitude.

That is, in essence, what I am saying in this post. That good and evil, in terms of right and wrong, are completely subjective. They depend entirely on the person, the situation, and the interpretation. That something I may see as good is defined by me, and me alone, as good, and chances are very good that I will find someone who disagrees with me ( ... )
