So, purchasing a dodgy pair of decks from e-bay, the buyer blanked me for a good few days about the where abouts of my product.
This combined with being an impatient little scuzzball and the fact that my book on this Djing thing recommends getting some Direct drives(these drive the deck platter directly giving more torque, better start up times and most importantly when trying to match beats - consistent speeds. Belt drives turn the deck platter via an elastic band resulting in poor start up times and wobbly speeds making beat matching a lot more difficult) meant that I have gone and purchased some new decent ones as well. Oops.
Well, at least(depending on there condition)I'll have something I can sell on again to try and make my money back. I think in the long run it'll be worth it, even though they cost a bit,I think I'll get my moneys worth out of them as its something I'll enjoy. Plus I think it being slightly expensive will mean a lack of drinking in and around them which is never a bad thing!
I have found a site selling all the old techno tunes I used to listen too, though the record I really want is 30 Euros. Thats for two songs. Thats £26. I don't love it that much...My folks disappear for a weeks holiday in three weeks time so i have the whole place to myself, Bring On The Noise. Anybody need a quick vacation are welcome to stay at hotel Ireland (3rd May - 10th May);)
