The Rhineland! In August, so it should be OK weather-wise *touches wood*.

Ah, topical! :) I've only seen the bit between Mainz and Koblenz (the "Mittelrhein") -- and that quite a few times now -- but I gather that's perhaps the most chocolate-boxy. And certainly the most castle-infested!

I'm very skeptical of the Irish "May is summer, and August is autumn" theory, but I think the weather could still go either way. :)
