GO TEAM ATLANTIS!~
Stargate: Meow!
Ten minor Goa’uld decide that the only way to get close enough to Stargate Command is to infect those close to them. Their cats! However, once they meld with the cats, they find out they can’t change hosts again because the cats are jumping at the chance to take over the world, lack of thumbs aside. The cats live with their owners on base and the series will follow the Goa’ulded cats around as they try to get out of the cats’ bodies while the cats try to take over the world and any other world the SGC come in contact with.
Characters:
Charles/Zahir
Jack’s cat.
Charles is a very lazy cat. He likes to sleep wherever Jack is and ignore the world unless it offers him a treat. He only barely tolerates anyone other than Jack and Daniel and he only tolerates Daniel because he has a kitty-crush on Daniel's cat, Nick. Charles ignores toys but enjoys watching The Simpsons with his owner. Charles only barely tolerates his Goa'uld, and would rather stay sleeping rather than the constant checking of his minions that Zahir insists on. Zahir is the self-proclaimed leader of the cat!Goa'uld by expedient of being the oldest. He is a warrior and is very adept at fighting off contenders for his leadership. Zahir is the Goa'uld that first suggests infecting the cats in order to get closer to the Tau'ri stargate.
Nick/Gabor
Daniel's cat.
Nick is a very cuddly cat. He spends most of his days in Daniel’s lap and likes to investigate the new artifacts that are brought into his office. He knows better than to make the artifacts toys and insists on treats to make up for this fact before going back to sleep in improbably comfortable positions. Gabor is mated to Chandi and ends up spending a lot of time with her and Miko. He’s the linguist of their group and translates the various languages for his mate Chandi so she can do her work. He’s frustrated around Daniel because his recent work is all translations Gabor has already done before.
Aiko/Chandi
Miko’s cat.
Aiko is a spoiled and very tolerant cat. Miko loves to put her in cute outfits, like the Hello Kitty hood shown, and take lots of pictures of her. Aiko puts up with this with a lot of grace and is very attached to her owner. One reason Miko rarely goes off world is that Aiko pines after her and Miko doesn't want her cat to be that sad. Aiko enjoys attacking anyone's feet but Miko's and pouncing on the other cats that laugh at her outfits. Chandi is Gabor's mate and as such tries to spend more time with Daniel then Miko. Aiko will have none of it though so Gabor more often comes to them. Chandi is a scientist that specializes in adapting technology stolen from other cultures, particularly the Ancients, into their existing technology.
Perna/Ula
Carson’s cat.
Perna is a specially trained cat that can sniff out infection in Carson’s patients. Because of this she spends her days in the infirmary with him. She sleeps behind his computer and follows him along on his rounds. When she smells infection she jumps up onto the bed near the source of the infection and meows until Carson comes over to check. She likes dried tuna flakes and in spoiled by everyone that stops by the infirmary, even the ones that are allergic to cats will pet her a couple times. Ula is the healer of the Goa’uld group and is glad that she took the right cat as her host. She likes to watch the humans work their form of medicine and laughing at them because of the lack of sophistically in their methods.
Shira/Isa
Teyla’s cat.
Shira loves to have her belly rubbed. Anytime someone comes into the room she’s on her back flirting for pets. She adores cat nip and new toys and treats them as her due. If a person comes into a room she’s in and doesn’t pet her she will attack the person’s ankles until they pay attention to her. Isa is the diplomat of the group. She has a very level head and can roll with events. She has the easiest time adjusting to her new life as a cat of the rest of them. She took in Paki as an apprentice mostly for her own amusement.
Joe/Paki
Woolsey’s cat.
Joe is as stuck up a cat as he can be. He avoids the areas he's been thrown out of because he has enough indignity being a naked cat, he doesn't need the extra that being dropped on his ass outside a door adds. He only eats one brand of high-quality dry food because humans keep trying to drug him and it's nearly impossible to put drugs in dry food. Paki is the diplomat in training of the Goa'uld. He's learning to deal with people from Isa, but so far isn't doing all that well. Paki is the only Goa'uld that expressed concerns about their compatibility with the cats but none of the others would listen.
Einstein/Tahir
Sam’s cat.
Einstein is a very active cat and likes to watch as people train in the mountain. He does however avoid the guns because the noise is too much for his ears. He is an excellent mouser and has a toy box full of cat toys to paly with. Sam almost has him trained to put them all away when he's done, but Einstein always leaves one or two out to show Sam who's really the boss. Tahir is Zahir's younger brother. However, while Zahir is more of a warrior, Tahir is more of a scientist. Tahir is convinced he will be able to out-smart his brother and win the leadership since he can't win in a fair fight. Tahir and Einstein constantly fight over whether to watch the scientists or the warriors training. Tahir constant nearly manages to blow them all up because he refuses to deal with the fact he no longer has thumbs and can't type or do intricate work anymore.
Aiden/Yaphet
John’s cat.
Aiden is a fairly active cat and very protective of John. If someone says something unflattering in his hearing range they’re going to be covered in scratches and bite marks in short order. And no one in the mountain would dare retaliate against Aiden because they would find themselves sorted to Antarctica before they could blink. Aiden can be found sleeping in John’s lap while he’s working in his office or in a corner of the gym when he’s sparing. Yaphet is more standoffish, but uses his host’s friendliness to get him way when he wants to spy on the scientists and the other cats. Isa is a scientist that specializes in weapons. He was the one that created the modern zat guns that are so widely used but never gets any credit for it.
Snowball/Hemi
Rodney’s cat.
Snowball is the pampered princess of the cats. She gets groomed within an inch of her life and actually enjoys the baths with baby shampoo that Rodney gives her. She likes to play with the laser but not where the other cats can see her. Rodney feeds her expensive gourmet cat food and as such she won't touch anything inferior. She is a lap cat and spends a large amount of time lounging in Rodney's lap while he works. This makes her the perfect cat host for one of the Goa'uld scientists Hemi. Hemi's focus as a scientist is on space travel. She loves trying to figure out how the gates work and has a long-term project focused on using the gates to create a new type of hyperdrive. When she gets stuck in Snowball she has to shelve that project as she no longer has the thumbs needed for writing. Hemi is the first cat to learn how to use a laptop and is addicted to Tau'ri internet videos.
Cat/Abban
Ronon’s cat.
Cat is actually the laziest of the cats on base. As long Ronon remembers to feed him and rub his belly occasionally he’s one happy cat. He spends his day spread out on Ronon’s bed taking up as much space as possible, only getting up to eat and then going back to sleep. He can be bribed with cat nip, but never toys. Abban on the other hand is very active and a warrior. He wants to know everything about everything and puts as much effort as possible in learning about the random things the Earthlings do. He follows people around until he makes them nervous enough to throw him out. A lot of people are weirded out by Cat’s sudden change of temperament and lack of liking to be touched.
