So I came across this song whilst looking at some 24 vids on youtube and I thought, wow, this is really cool! Epic and filmy. So I chased up the band that did it and was like: *jaw drops* CELLO METAL!! :P How have I not come across this before now?? Mmm symphonic metally goodness.

OMG that is crazy because today I managed to download string tributes to Tool and they are AWESOME!
Have you heard Metallica with the San Francisco orchestra? EPIC!

OOH where? Apparently this band have done quite a few Metallica covers, actually accompanied them, and gone on tour with Rammstein!

Well, (you're in for a treat!) Metallica have an entire live album, two discs worth, of them playing with an orchestra, I think it's the San Fran philharmonic, called S&M. I bought it off amazon for about tenner and it's amazing.
Then the tributes to Tool, I searched Limewire for about a million years, (half an hour,) and then looked on myspace and they've got a few songs that you can download off there. I found them by searching "string tribute to tool."
