Well, now, isn't this fitting. (sigh)

Huh. I just got a card and some flowers and a sizeable cheque from my parents. Something tells me my mum had a lot to do with it, but the cheque was from my dad alone. Better late than never, eh?

My sister spoke to my dad earlier, and apparently she asked him what he thought of my results and, you know, whether he was pleased with them, to which his reply was, "Frankly, no." Got my marks breakdown yesterday and I know now that I have a high 2:1. My average is 67.125, my lowest mark is 64 (not including the Optional Thesis :P) and my highest is 71 (for Chaucer and Langland, would you believe!!). My second highest mark (70) is in Shakespeare (yes!), and I didn't fail my last three papers, which at the time I thought ( Read more... )

I can't believe Rodrigo y Gabriela are supporting Muse on the 16th. At Wembley! I miss them by a DAY. Two of my favourite bands, and two of the best live acts, AT THE SAME TIME. Perhaps a good thing I won't be there actually, my head might just explode.

In other news: I'm finished! Whee!

So I'm pretty much resigned to this exam being a great big steaming pile of poo. What a way to end, eh. Ah well, there's always the optional thesis!!

So today I spent the entire last hour of my exam listening to the exuberant cheers and screams and shouts of about 300 English Course I students as they finished their finals. Grr.
