I agree that heavy rain after insanely hot weather is heaven!!!
Your dog must have been really funny. I never imagined that dogs can be scared of balloons :P One of my dogs attacks playfully just about anything haha Not one balloon would survive :P

I think the reason he was so scared was because one popped in his face like that when he was a puppy. But by the time he was as big as a human, that memory remained. XD
Ah yes, I'm been working on a novel off-and-on for awhile now. Tis an intra-apocalyptic story that I'm trying to make as historically and phychologically accurate as possible. I'm working on developing characters with many different backgrounds, including this one homosexual thus far.

Ah, rain is horrible. All the weather that ever happens here in England is rain. Well, here in the north anyway. It's so depressing... But then, I suppose when the weather is beautiful, we find it extremely beautiful because we're not used to it.
Hmm, it's bizarre how just small things can remind you of something. Whenever I smell woodsmoke, it reminds me of cleaning out my rabbits' hutch in winter. Strange... :)
