I have moved to Central Florida, which is part of the reason this blog and other things have been neglected. To find a house took three months, with weekly drives of 200 miles one way, (no time to blog) and then to buy the house took another two months. Thanks! No, I'm in Central Florida, north of Orlando, so about 200 miles south of Tallahassee. We have trees here, as this is a semi rural area, and yes, we have fire ants too.
