The house of many doors

Week three at My-house-in-the-woods (last week) was noisy and dusty, but not as noisy and dusty as it is now. The main house used to have seven doors, and that's not counting the garage doors. Three of those are walled in now, and one in the guest house turned into a window. The best part is that the mason guys did it in two days. Two days! So far

From June through November 2003, I was mostly general contractor on the construction of my house. Though my husband was my co-pilot, I was there for the day-to-day things, decision-making and general fielding of all things no one else wanted to do.

The eye-candy was worth it for a while, but it got old, fast!
