Or jungle. I can't decide which because it's not one of those carefully tended flower beds, but there are Gardenias, Jasmin, Hibiscus, and other as yet unidentified plants growing everywhere. Now there's a new flower in the patio. What's special about this new one is that I have planted it myself in April and to my utter delight, it's already

Wow! Those things are all exotics around here.

Yes, I suppose they are. For me it's Lilacs; I would love to have some. There are hybrids in California that can withstand the heat, but I haven't found any here.

I wish we could share ours. Maybe you should come visit at the end of May. :)

If the drive was shorter, I would. You could share by taking pictures, which of course doesn't capture their heavenly scent.
