ok so i was writing an essay on othello and i was writing about the final scene and listening to isis and it drove me to tears. ridiculous. for some reason, the kinda emotion and feeling shakespeare documents so perfectly in the dialogue between othello and desdemona is perfectly complimented by isis. the 25th is gonna be so awesome.
basically othello's desperately, desperately, fucking desperately in love with his wife, desdemona but he's convinced by his servant and confidant, iago, that she's cheating on him (cos he hates othello passionately) so othello goes insane with passion and decides to kill her. the final scene starts with him telling her he's gonna kill her and how they interract, still so desperately in love, but aware of the inevitable, is priceless.
fuck anyone who doesn't like shakespeare or thinks i'm silly for this post. i am silly, but so much better than you.
