A Home? Finally?!

So. My hubby and I learned yesterday that our lease comes up on February 28th and we thought that it was in March. We have been wanting to move into a house for a while just so we could have a space that is all ours without the hassle of next door neighbors across the hall. We have to give a 60 day notice so that puts us in a month to month ( Read more... )

thats very exciting! boxes are free at kroger if u get there before the trash compactor eats them. and any uhaul place will sell u boxes and buy them back. that might help.

I hate to be the doomsayer, here, but before you guys move, I would sit down and determine how much you can afford if one of you should lose your job. Do the math carefully. Hope for the best, yes, but plan for the worst -- that is the only way to prevent yourself from further pitfalls with your finances ( ... )

Oh, also, cam and I snagged some fine boxes at a Walgreen's when we moved. That would be another good place to check.

Almost any store will be happy to have you take some boxes off their hands, though. For books, in particular, liquor stores provide good boxes -- solid, heavy-duty, and not too big, so you don't wind up packing 300 lbs of paperbacks in one box and later abandoning them in despair.

I'll ask my mom if she can get some from work; Louisville Bedding always has boxes out the whazoo. Lemme know when you need 'em.

I could use 'em as soon as possible. I know that we are going to be moving and I would rather start now than wait until the last minute. It would be awesome to get some boxes from you!

Wal-Mart has always been happy to give me boxes, because it is one less thing the stockers have to do.
