My Time.

You know, I think everyone has a time of day when they're the most comfortable. Today I realized that I'm at my best at twilight. It's the time of day just after sunset, and just before dark. I love five in the morning. There's a slight fog nearly every time. It's so quite, like the town's been deserted and I love to think to myself, "I'm one of the few people awake right now." I also enjoy watching the local businesses open up. If it's a rainy day the street lights don't turn off till around noon.

this is a hard one for me.
I really like right at sunset if I am out on the lake or up on a mountain.
there is just something very speacial and majestic about those locations and that time of day.
But when I wake up in a good morning mood "lots of coffee" I love the smell of the fresh dew and the fog that hasn't completely rose up off the ground yet. its very inspiring.

For some reason, I don't find it at all odd that midday isn't popular. I could be wrong but my guess is that everyone sees midday as common and boring.

and midday is in the middle of the hustle and bustle. no time for self, contemplation, or even a breath.

I think your thoughts on twilight are beautiful and I full agree, though I've had some lovely foggy mornings up on the hill too.

Both times of day are between the dark and the light and full of possibilities. They feel simultaneously quiet and exciting, oddly. They are also the times when, for a few minutes, I enjoy being alone....
