Has this movie had a ton of hype that I just haven't noticed?
Friday afternoon I was on Facebook and 5 or 6 different people were posting how amazing it was... Aidan and I wanted to go out that night anyway so I got tickets for it at the IMAX.
Thought it was a pretty good action movie. Lots of good special effects, especially at the beginning where Ariadne first starts messing with the world and they're walking up the walls... and the fight scenes in the hotel were really well done too. And I liked the whole premise of going into people's dreams and the suicidal wife was pretty good as well.
Now I keep hearing "Oh it's trying and failing to be so deep and profound and I didn't get that impression at all - I just thought it was trying, and succeeding, to be a fun and entertaining couple of hours!
I dunno I just get sick of people insisting that all forms of media must be deep and meaningful to be worth anything. I am an unashamed fan of cheese.
Anyone else seen it? What did you think?
