I'm not one to gloat, but I picked Obama to win way back when he was battling Sen. Clinton. In the last few weeks I was telling anyone who would listen that it would be an Obama landslide, but they all thought I was crazy especially my Democrat friends. I guess they are just used to disappointment. Anyway, congratulations President Obama!

The reason I was skeptical is that I HAVE be disappointed too often in the past. That, and any time I am confident in something it fails.

I was surprised by the speed and magnitude of his win. Thank goodness!

I feel so damn....giddy. I want to go out and volunteer for something. I realize I'm caught up in the moment, but damn it: it's so nice to feel optimism again. Please let the Bush legacy be nothing but incompetence, cronyism and corruption.
