The play is about Alan Rickman's character telling aspiring young novelists how terrible they are at writing? I must see this. I'm an aspiring young novelist myself. :)

Only 20% of the population recognizes AR by name? That, frankly, is terrible.

That's just an informal poll taken by myself, based on how many manhours I spend listing his movies waiting for a lightbulb to replace the blank stares. At any rate, it seems to be a shockingly low number. Which doesn't surprise my girlfriend, who fails to see any appeal whatsoever in the man. :(

You must have great faith in your ability if you want to watch writers being torn down on stage. ;)

How can anyone fail to see any appeal in AR? Even silly teen girls go crazy over his portrayal of Snape.

I'm very ambitious when it comes to writing, but I'm also my own greatest critic and worst enemy. I flatter myself that I have the talent; I'm just hoping, in time, I can the acquire skill, too. And one of the best ways to do so is to learn from other people's mistakes, right? ;)
