Aim higher. Take credit for the relationship, for eyes meeting across a crowded room, hell, for binocular vision in general. For hormones, biological imperatives, the expression of higher desires through emotion and wit; for love itself.

People might take issue but this is negotiation 101; they'll probably settle with giving you credit for the relationship.
