Kinda cool that a 17 year old kid hacked the iPhone. While I'm a big Apple fan, I'm glad this was done. It will be interesting to see if a software hack becomes available.
What I don't get is...why? I'm sure I'm missing something here but why bother? It's terribly naive of me, I know. Just the challenge? Or is there something they actually want to do now that it's unlocked?
Sounds cool I'd be interested in an I-phone if Palm/Handspring continues to be non competitive with their new ownership. They had Crackberry beat, and started the market, then they dropped the ball.
