Are you serious? What complete and total a**holes! Try and think of it this way, you are so much better than that place. What a complete and total crock of s***! I do some HR here, and there is no reason for them to be so crappy about it. I somehow can believe they didn't do an exit interview....they don't want to know what a poor job they are doing. How rude!
You are so much better than that Patrick...you deserve a job where the people respect you more.
You go! You will be so much better for leaving that place! I hope they are paying you what you are owed (vacation time and the like). They should pay you for the two weeks they took from you too!

well, you know that I didn't have vacation or any of that because I was part-time. Unfortunately, they're using that as an excuse not to pay me for the two weeks that they didn't want me to work. I think that's not right in a legal sense, but I don't know where to go to find out. We're talking like $203 so it's not that much, as far as being worthwhile to get a lawyer, but still...that's $203 that I should've gotten had they played fair. Damn at-will shenanigans!

I just don't understand. The funny thing is Kristen said she wanted to go to HR beceause of my situation (leaving work, but not entitled to PFL from the state because I am quitting). She wants me to try and scam the system. I told my mom I wouldn't trust the opinion of anyone in HR at MSX. Freakin' a**holes! Not cool.

I don't know what to say... vallane February 1 2005, 10:33:00 UTC
...either I'm sorry or congrats!

I'm sorry your job sucked and you were forced to resign. I'm sorry for the way your company treated you when you did resign. And I'm sorry that you have to go look for a job now.

But congrats on having the guts to resign on a job you either didn't like or didn't feel like you were getting the recognition or respect you deserved. Congrats on being able to go out and find a new job that is both fullfilling and more exciting.

Good luck on the job search!

Thanks Val. It means a lot that you have the time to comment to me when I know you have your own load of baggage to deal with. :) I hope you are well.

you make very little sense. John has a job which he's fairly happy with at this point, and I'm fine. There are no ranks...
