Yummy potato soup

As I've mentioned, we are both unemployed.  So, we are therefore broke.  I wanted something yummy to eat that would not require the purchase of more food.  I also love potato soup, but have never made it from scratch.  I figured since the weather is starting to get cooler that I should learn to make it myself.  I did some searching for recipes - I

Wow, that's some fancy potato soup. It sounds yummy. What I made when the kids were little was mostly potatoes, a tad of butter and milk, salt and pepper, a bit of some kind of cheese on top of each serving.
