I like to collect questions that imply the wrong answer. Many of them are quite well known, for example:
What animal are the Canary Islands named after?
How long did the Hundred Years War last?
How long is Ninety Mile Beach?

Here's one that may not be new, but was new to me: Which is heavier, a pound of gold or a pound of feathers?

Feathers. According to Wolfram Alpha, "Precious metals like gold are measured in troy ounces and pounds (1 troy pound = 373.2 grams) and most other materials are measured in avoirdupois ounces and pounds (1 avoirdupois pound = 453.6 grams)."
