This would be the third time I'm redrawing Emlinn from Himring's The West Wind Quartet. It's interesting to see how my style changes over time. And the new one is very sketchy... it was done on impulse, to see how it'd turn out

So good to learn that you still remember Emlinn so well and I really like the new sketch! The grey represents Glaurung's fumes, is that right?

Wandering over from hhimring's journal to say that this is hauntingly beautiful, and that it is fascinating to see the evolution of the art from the fairly straightforward first portrait to the current version.

Thank you! I admit, I'm fascinated too lol It's like trying on clothes from when one was younger. You know you've grown, but it's not until you look at yourself in the mirror with something that used to fit that hits you how much
