Thank you. I think the slight inconsistencies and anomalies make him a bit more human - he can't be The Shark as we saw him in Ch 1 all the time or there would be no story.

Charlie is in so much trouble now. Loving someone in a perfect situation can lead to heartbreak. In this bizarre situation? Almost guaranteed.

I love how Rory is being so irritable. It's extremely believable. My father, who is the most even-tempered sweet man, became unbearable when he had his hip replacement last year. He is typically a very active person. At 72 years old, he does more than I do daily. (He has a landscaping company and goes out on all of jobs to help.) Being bed-ridden for so long killed him. BTW, he is also very reluctant to take pain killers, and never once used his morphine drip after the surgery. Fortunately, their stubbornness and level of activity and independence are as far as the similarities go between Rory and my father. I am strangely attracted to Rory (that bad boy thing), and that would be gross with my father.

Well, I think it's safe to say that Rory hates being dependent on anyone for anything. I can assure you, however, that this is not a daytime soap opera and he will not turn out to be Charlie's long-lost twin/brother/father/other squicky pairing. *g*
