Endings and beginnings

Thanks to everyone who commented and sent messages about our RSC adventure. We just heard back and, of course, we've not got through to the final round. With twelve groups there for the weekend and not really knowing what standard the other groups were at, intellectually we of course knew this was the mostly likely outcome through the simple odds. As the sage put it, "Well.. bugger." =:) Still, yes, a weekend to remember. Certainly sounded like it imbued everyone with a thorough passion.

Rather nice design! Very slick. ^_^ And certainly not doing badly on the sales front! I can only hope my prints (re-)launch goes as well. I can't realistically expect to make a living out of my photography, but then again, I've never been all that good at being sensible. =:)

Cheers! I'm pretty sure the sales will die down very quickly, but it's been a welcome boost to the wedding savings fund - which is getting a bit scary because almost everything is priced in Euros, so our budget is dependent on a wildly fluctuating exchange rate and political stability in Greece!

It was a brilliant weekend. I think Mel's a bit more disappointed than she expected, but she wrote a lovely email to the group about how she now knows she can do anything, which was sort of what I hoped she'd get out of it. I'm a bit more like Gandalf in Return of the King. "There never was much hope. Just a fool's hope."

I'm sorry it didn't work out with the RSC, but at least you had some good experiences to make it worthwhile. And congratulations on your book! :) I'd like to read it, but as my Kindle seems to be having some kind of breakdown...

Cheers! Twas an awesome weekend, and I think we're a bit closer to a few of our friends as a result. Shoni was even better as Quince than she was in Puck in that Midsummer Night's Dream you saw us in :)

I sympathise, my Kindle is totally defunct (cracked the screen on the way back home after Christmas), and cheap as they are in real terms, I'm chafing at the £80 or so to get a new one.
