Okay, so I watched the movie, I read the basic overview of the game...I still have some questions. Like, why did the silver haired brother turn in to Separioth? And who is the Mother? And what exactly was the geostigma? Was it, or was it not caused by the planet? ARGH. I need to watch it with someone who a)knows what the hell is going on and b)doesn't mind me interupting their movie. Thanks for the link BTW, did help fill in some of the bigger holes. :)

They all had the potential to turn into Sephiroth. They were presumably also connected to SOLDIER.

And who is the Mother?
JENOVA.

And what exactly was the geostigma? Was it, or was it not caused by the planet?

Geostigma was a disease caused by planet, in a way, but only because of the Shinra Corporation's original attempt to harness the planet's energy. It was eventually cured by the planet also, through Aeris' intervention.

I don't think these answers are helping, are they? :P
