Sometimes there's a tiny little voice that whispers to me, "Look at you with your khaki pants and matching socks and free Accidental Death and Dismemberment insurance coverage!  You used to be different, you used to be somebody.  Now you're just another cog in The Machine.  I mean, sure, you seem to be doing okay on the surface, but at what price, ( Read more... )

Bah, don't listen to that tiny little jerk. You could go on a rampage and raze thousands of European villages and you will always remain "The Dude Who Did BBoCS"

We all have that voice. But seeing the happiness of stability and purchasing power usually drown it out real quick.

Also, when you go adventuring again you're usually better off for the Accidental Death and Dismemberment insurance.

As far as I'm concerned, that voice is right - you used to be the guy who made BBoCS. Now, you're the guy who crushed my childhood, by discontinuing BBoCS. Hence, you used to be somebody - now, your niche has been fully taken over by xkcd. :P

Ok, you know I was just joking, right? No, you probably didn't. Well, I was just being silly.

Except the part about your niche having been usurpsed by xkcd, but it's not like you had a claim on it or anything.

Well, and not the part about you not being famous anymore, but fame probably gets annoying quickly anyway.
