I really need to stop buying books off of Amazon.com. Since they have that 4 for 3 deal and the free shipping with $25 or more I've been going crazy these past couple weeks. I really need to start saving because I quit by job, so I have no money coming in.

I study English, French and Spanish. And German is not my first language (it's Russian). The mix of the words in your head can become difficult (i have this problem with spanish and french, 'cause they are so alike), but it's the advantage of French - it's MUCH easiert to learn Spanish.

Russian is my favourite language, but it must be very difficult to learn, I heard.

Thanks for the help! Foreign languages have always been really easy for me so I'm not that worried about Spanish, but Russian looks like it will be really difficult.

They are just so imperfectly perfect together. The spiderman kiss episode has to be of my favorite episodes of any series.

The grammar is really similar, if not easier at times (the Spanish subjunctive, for example, actually has a PATTERN behind when it is used!), but you do mix up the languages sometimes. I kept saying mais instead of pero for but in my Spanish class. Also, learning the grammar can be frustrating, because if you know French well it is really easy to learn, but you end up going over it a lot for other people in the class. That, and unfortunately languages are one of those things that you need to do rote grammar exercises over and over again. I took an accelerated sequence last year - each semester was a year in one. Grammatically I was fine, I learned all the grammar I need to know, but my speaking skills suckkk. 10 months later, I literally do not trust myself to speak in any tense but the present and maybe the imperative. I was ready to quit by the end, but even if I had wanted to take more it would have been horrific because my speaking skills (even before ( ... )
