I want to take a copy of all my LJ entries. They might or might not mean anything to me persoanlly - I change my opinions on this like the weather

There are various options out there, I have used LJ Book fairly recently which exports to PDF. Downside being that you have to give them your user/pass but you can always change your pass temporarily.

I have in the past used LJ Archive but I can't seem to make it work now.
