I think that this is relevant to a lot of people here, considering a few of you are still in school, but there is currently a bill in Congress that currently exists only in the House. Ugh, I would love to read through that and try writing my own but I've got a headache right now and I just want to curl up and stare at nothing. Fandom, however, is my escape so I'm going through my flist first.

It's totally cool, I understand entirely. If you can try later though, that would be awesome. This is something that I feel needs a lot of support, something like only seven senators have agreed to help try to get it through and I can't remember how many it takes to get a bill on the floor.

Ugh, politics. I don't know anything about it. How long should a letter to a senator be? I don't even know who my senator is. Ugh, my brain @-@

I don't either, lol, no worries. You can look up who your senator is on the Senate website, and there should be contact information. You can see which one would be better to contact on the GLSEN website. My letter is less than a page in Word, figured I should keep it kinda brief. It's kind of like writing an essay for school where you state your main point in your opening paragraph and follow up with a few paragraphs supporting that point. Just be polite and there shouldn't be much of an issue.
