maybe it's the cold swedish-NJ heart? There was a time I was inadvertently given the wrong type of merchandise when I went to pick it up (they had to get it from the warehouse next door). I returned it and they were very nice about it. I think the trick to doing anything at IKEA is going at around 8pm on a weeknight or even on a Saturday (at night).
Well, i think it's more the dumb New Jerseyan, coupled with the cold Swedish heart. :)
i just find it incredibly frustrating that *every* *single* *time* i've ever bought furniture from Ikea, there's been somthing wrong - a part missing, the wrong parts packed. Just little annoying things that prevent me from assembling my furniture with any kind of efficiency.
It's really funny - the second time i had their customer service on the phone, during his search he remarked that both of my pieces were made in Germany. Then he told me that they "have that problem a lot with the German-made stuff." i found that so odd.
Thanks jane. Not a chance of it resolving itself, though; i've been accused of divulging confidential information, which i absolutely did not do. And the president of the company took a rather bullying approach to the whole thing, the bastard.
So, i'm going to see the NJ Div. of Vocational Rehab on Monday, since i had this stupid job looong before my MS, and i have no idea of how to navigate around it. Blech :(

obviously you've been busy getting mentally tortured and becoming a consumer submissive to the swedish infidel known as ikea customer service reps!!

Yeah - Ikea, and a few other work-related things that are far too traumatic. So bad, i'm not sure if i want to even write them here. :(
How are you and that handsome husband of yours doing? :)
