I'm never quite sure what to make of her letters. They arrive at Bottle Street on a strictly irregular basis and always from the most unexpected locations. This time, the good Miss Fitton has written from Portsmouth. Four and half pages about some ship's engine she was allowed to dissect, for strictly educational purposes of course
