I'm not exactly youth, but I've been thinking about Norway a lot these days. I wonder if you can ever truly recover from a loss of innocence like that. God, I hate people who do stuff like that.
Well we older folks can learn from Nordahl Grieg's words too ;) I think the feelings are very much like in the poem, they/we stand together and fight this as a people, with spirit. And that Breivik guy will be a fight with his manifest and beliefs that he did what had to be done.
"Kringsat af fjender" - it is so beautiful, and I remember singing it at my continuation school over and over again! I was close to tears each and every time....
My thoughts go out to all the victims and their kin regarding Oslo and Utøya.... R.I.P. :-(
It really is very beautiful, I hardly ever sing but this particular song I just have to join in. We all gathered in front of the TV at work, for the memorial service in Copenhagen, and Kringsat af fjender just makes those small hairs at the back of your neck stand up and the eyes get wet.
And let's hope the survivors will be able to get on with their lives.

I just love this song and have from the first time I heard it, many many summers ago.
And it's one of the few songs I actually sing ;)
