Oasis is great. Best in a while. Shakira seems good so far. Beck, Bruce and New Order were all stuff I had to give back to the Blaze but I can now call my OWN. Haven't listened to Common or The White Stripes but I don't expect to be disappointed.
The good thing about being me is that don't usually buy anything unless I'm pretty sure I'll really like it, so I'm rarely disappointed with purchases. OK, that's not the only good thing about being me, but it's one of the many.
I real like this new "dual-disc" concept. It doesn't work on everyone's CD players, apparently, but it works on mine so screw you! And for just a couple bucks more it really is a great deal, especially the new Bruce - the entire album in sparkling 5.1 dolby digital, PLUS five acoustic performances. It sounds pretty pretty great. The only thing I've noticed so far that sucks about it is that apparently dual-disc technology can't handle putting a picture on the disc, so they're all just like blank discs with labeling on the inner ring. Boring!
Home Movies Season 2 is probably my favorite season. "Identifying A Body," "The Party," "Dad," "Therapy," "History" and "Pizza Club" are all classics. Except for "History" (which is gloriously joke-a-minute thanks to great moments like the
"Compliments song"), they're also all pretty heart-warming. Especially the stuff with Brendon and his dad. I almost forgot that element of the sure, which is surely why it was cancelled in the face of obnoxiously in-your-face fare like Aqua Teen Hunger Force and Tom Goes to the Mayor and whatever else is on now.
