[Personality] Rikku is extremely kind-hearted, very spirited and energetic. Her positive and somewhat childish personality can sometimes clash against those with more serious personalities, but Rikku is too stubborn to let it get her down. Often, her worst come back against those who she doesn’t like is to refer to them as, “big meanies.” She believes that people with annoying or buzz kill attitudes aren’t that fun to be around, but she will tolerate them up to a certain extent.
This isn’t to say that Rikku is always happy and bright. When she’s upset, her personality does a complete 180, and one would be surprised at the sudden change. At a young age she lost her mother to a machina gone haywire. She does carry huge insecurities underneath her happy-go-lucky appearance and these insecurities often lay what her future holds and what she wants to do with it. This often causes Rikku to act jealous towards those who have a certain idea about what they want to do with their life and have concrete dreams about their futures. She’s scared that she may wander the world for the rest of her life alone and is probably also scared about being left behind by her loved ones. She voiced her dreams to Tidus that she would one day like to get married and have tons of children so that none of them are ever alone.
That being said, Rikku is extremely loyal and she would never waver from those that she adores. Her people are important to her, and when Home is destroyed in FFX, she is saddened by it and a part of her blamed herself for letting it happen, but since then has been working to rebuild a bigger and better Home than before. Her strongest bonds probably belong to Paine and Yuna. During Yuna’s pilgrimage, Rikku tagged along with her cousin (Rikku’s aunt married High Summonr Braska, Yuna’s father) and was probably the most vocal opponent against her pilgrimage that would eventually lead to Yuna’s life being taken. She prefers to live in the present despite yearning for a future telling Tidus when the party stopped at Guadosalam that memories were nice, but that’s all they really were.
Her personality hasn’t changed much since the two years after helping to save Spira from Sin, but she has come to terms with some of her fears since then. Despite all this, she still has a tendency to cause accidents and get the group into trouble. Her personality often clashes with Brother's and her Cid's, but Rikku is more likely to get along with Brother than her father. She doesn't approve of her father's attempt at turning Zanarkand into a tourist attraction and with Yuna's help was able to prevent this.
She’s still waiting for her own story to start.
[Specialties/Abilities] Rikku being Al Bhed, is able to fluently understand and speak her native tongue. Not only that, but she also grew up with the skill when it comes to machines or machine. She’s agile and quick during battle and is able to steal things and mix items together. During Final Fantasy X, she’s one of the stronger girl characters physically depending on how you build her.
She prefers to use stylized blades and while the clothes do look good, they’re utilized for speed not defense. She can use any of the basic dress spheres, but her special dressphere is the Machina Maw. For easier purposes, Rikku will only be able to use her Thief dressphere while in Somarium.
[Affection] Rikku is a rather affectionate person and isn't extremely touchy, but she can be if she gets carried away or excited. Hugs and high fives and such are more than accepted by her. Kissing and anything below the waist is a bit of an issue though.
[Fighting] She is more than capable of fighting for herself and if anything threatens her she will fight if she has to. She's more of the peace-loving kind of girl though. If you're planning to do anything to her, let me know and we can discuss something.
