Date! (for notyourluckyday)

Sep 01, 2007 13:35

Ghost always put a certain amount of grooming into his daily routine. It was part of his upbringing, really, but hardly a problematic aspect of it. Few people tended to mind being around someone who took care with their appearance, though he'd been occasionally teased in school for being a prettyboy who would flinch if he so much as got a speck ( Read more... )

Jinx had taken care of all her grooming as well; shower, did her hair up in a rather nice ponytail, and wore a violet lacy headband to pull her bangs back. She wore a spaghetti strap top of the same colour, with lace accents at the top and around the bottom hem, and a pair of designer denim capris with fancy designs on the back pockets.

She just couldn't find her damn heels. She had got them especially for this date; a pair of black heels with straps and ties that would go up to just above her ankle. She managed to find one, and had just finished trying it when she heard the knock on the door. Well, shit, she thought. "Just a second!" Jinx yelled, and began searching desperately for the other shoe.

About 5 minutes later, she finally opened the door, smiling. "Sorry about that, Ghost."

This was the point where, for better or for worse, the cologne's LOL effect decided to kick in. Ghost sauntered up to Jinx, smiled flirtatiously, and put his finger under her chin so that her face was angled slightly upwards towards him.

"There's no need to apologize. Your beauty is more than worth waiting for."

And with a little flourish, he presented the rose.

Bzuh. Insert goofy grin here and spacing out. It took her a moment to snap out of it, and she shook her head lightly, grinning at him. What got into you? Is what she wanted to ask, but she was afraid it would sound like she was complaining; which she definitely wasn't. So she took the rose from him, twirling it and giving him a flirty look of her own. "Well thanks. You look rather handsome, yourself." Of course he always looked good to her, but still.

"So, where will we be going for dinner?" Jinx asked.

Unfortunately for Ghost, he wasn't aware of the fact that this was significantly different than his normal behaviour. One was supposed to put their best foot forward on a date. Though, his sense of society remained in tact. Her outfit was nice, but it was still too casual for some of the restaurants he might take her to.

However, he did know of a few that were still appropriate, and as a bonus, they usually didn't require reservations. They got enough business to thrive, but not so much that it was annoyingly difficult to get in and get a table.

"That really depends on if you're interested in Italian, Indian, Thai, seafood or a steakhouse, fair maiden," he replied with a slightly over the top little bow.

Sometime after dinner.... albinogentleman December 11 2007, 01:51:10 UTC
Innuendo aside, the dinner conversation had been pleasant, and the food tasty and served promptly. Ghost remained blissfully unaware of the fact that he wasn't acting like himself, however. Par for the course, he left a generous tip. It wasn't that he meant to show off his wealth, so much as it was a part of who he was, and it was something he did more or less by default.

With a sweeping, flamboyant bow, Ghost rose to his feet, and offered his arm.

"Shall we go?" he asked.

She had finished her third (or was it fourth?) glass of wine just minutes before he got up, and she smiled, taking his arm and carefully getting out of her seat.

"That was really nice," she smiled, hugging his arm a little as they made their way toward the exit. She was hoping dinner wouldn't be the end of the date; she wanted to spend a little more time with him before going home. So, without really thinking about it, Jinx asks, "Are we going anywhere else tonight?"

Ghost nodded. "But of course, fair maiden. I am a gentleman, and a gentleman would never put a lady at risk by driving while under the influence, even if it was only a few drinks. I hope the Loma Gardens will be to your liking ( ... )

"Oh, a garden..? That sounds great," she smiled, and she held his arm the entire duration they walked there.

Jinx herself rather liked the idea of having time alone with Ghost. Dinner had been pretty private as well, but flowers and moonlight? You can't get much more romantic than that. Jinx is a sap. Ghost might pick up her silly mental images of her in fields of pink and purple flowers. This also might be because she's tipsy, too, though."Oh no, it's closed. Whatever shall we do?" she asked, pretending to pout for about two seconds. Jinx's expression soon changed though, of course to her devious smirk. She let go of Ghost's arm, cartwheeled forward, her feet meeting the wall, sprung toward the gate, caught one of the iron bars, her body going completely vertical with her feet in the air for just a split second (just slightly wobbling) before flipping down to the ground below behind the gates. Her landing was less than perfect; although she landed on her feet, her arms flailed at her sides for a second. She regained her composure ( ... )
