the dogs are great until they turn into little old dying lady dogs. then say I nay. even though i am totally in love with my most awesome dog in the whole wide world, pets are a pain in the ass-hole and i agree avec l'Alban:
not exactly the same situation, but that reminds me of these two cats my sister and i used to have-- gelfling and lily. lily was like an old queen herself though she was only a year or two older than young gelfling. gelfling would hog the whole food dish and scarf it down before lily even got to eat any. we ended up setting up separate food dishes. and then, of course, gelfling would only eat at lily's bowl. eventually, lily (queenie that she was) got to eat on the counter and gelfling was confined to the floor. he was kinda a little bastard too. he used to drive me crazy until lily went missing. then, my love grew for that damn cat because he reminded me of her.
you put me to shame when i talk about feeling no good. :( btw, those ginger chews are like magic.
