I'm sorry that you had a rough day but I am happy that you had someones and somethings there to put it in perspective. Building and rebuilding is an arduous thing but so, so worth doing. <3
I'm sorry to hear about how bad Saturday was, but so happy to hear that the next day was so wonderful. Here's to you having many more :)
Madeleine L'Engle...wow, I really need to go back and read some of her books. She was such an amazing writer.
One of the most important insights I had was that I need to get out of my way and play, like a child, when I write. I just need to get out of my way and play while living as a general matter of course. I've been in my head too much these past years.
This really spoke to me. I'm trying to hit that place where I'm having fun writing again, and not worrying/deconstructing it as much as I sometimes do, and I feel like I'm finally getting back there. So yeah. Simpatico!
I am reading this days and days later, but I remember days like that and how painful yet wonderful they are. The trouble sharpens your mind, so you can really appreciate living. It's strange, how the shadows make the light brighter.
I'm sorry for the worst--but wow, I'm so happy you had the good parts of the day.
