So when Sellix and Kito came down here for AC, they had some extreme difficulty getting past customs - seems border patrol is instructed to assume everyone is lying about everything, since terrorists are obviously going to sneak in here from Canada in giant beaver costumes. They wound up being turned back into Canada, even though Sellix had his shit in order and Kito's a US citizen.
I'm not in the least bit surprised they treated you that way. I've heard all sorts of horror stories about customs at the northern border and in airports. Going philosophy appears to be alienation of Western Europeans and Canadians, but, goddamn, they'll let 10 million Hispanics roam around illegally.

Yeah, too weird. KaniS actually called up an immigration lawyer about it (turns out she was from my hometown, small world), and she was actually very surprised that the Customs folks were so rude to me. Being a Canadian citizen is usually at least a little protection from such ass-hattery

Oh! Wondered why I never got comments from you, my gold! *really thought she'd mentioned it somewhere*
Apparently, I mix stuff up, phooey. How embarrassing. :p I like cuddling with you, of course! *does so, with rumbling purrs* I hope to be doing that for the rest of my life, my love....
I think the "bored" theory may be plausible, but I believe the forms in my luggage are more likely to have been the problem, like you say. But I think the hole thing was still ridiculous. Yeesh- I'm a Canadian, for crying out loud. My passport is supposed to allow me to stay three months, if I wanted to. I know, you know all this, my love- it still makes go "Wait. WHUT?!" *chuckles*
Kudos to Jeff for finding that drug shipment! *despises hard-drug dealers*
Does the fact you have an icon here mean you have an LJ too? *grins and goes to look for it*
Can't wait to see you in September, beloved! *snuggles into your arms, nuzzling under your chin*
