Was in Winnipeg, briefly- missed KaniS the whole time- but I'm now back in the somewhat balmier climes of LA... :) Well, it's rainy instead of snowy, so I suppose that is to my benefit. Believe it or not I still have that msg on file and fully intend to reply to it when my energy and general health allow. Ah man, I wanna copy of CS4! Once again, energy leaves me bereft of anything but the basics. New stuff on FA and more to come.

No worries, hon! I know how life gets in the way of living, if you know what I mean. :P KaniS had linked me to a blogger's video about how CS4 was made by the devil- basically, this fellow was all gooey over it. :) It has a lot of features that both of us can use- he for his video stuff and me for my own attempts at photography and my art ( ... )

Rrrr! If you wanna do me something really nice for Christmas, dig me up a copy! Argh Vista Argh! I wouldn't touch it with a ten foot pole as they say. Vista is ALWAYS the issue! *lol*

Raw files definitely have a lot more data and a lot more depth!, 12 bits instead of 8 normally. It's for serious photography as they say. They're meant to be kept as is and you use software to generate the actual files your using or printing off of them.

Argh! Always always get to things like this when I'm tired and just wanna do ME things, which explains every late everything. *grin* Tonight I disassembled the sewing machine which probably hasn't had that thorough a cleaning in it's 40+ year lifetime. Now I'm itching to use it. later!

Vista seems to definitely suck the bone... KaniS finally chucked it and re-installed XP. Now the tablet works, I have an OS that isn't sucking up as much room on my roomy hard-drive (more space for art) and I'm getting down to learning what CS4 can do ( ... )

Needing a visa for purposes of marriage -- now THAT brings back memories! (I have a similar experience.) Hope you have a nice day for the wedding.

Yeah, I hope so, too. It's California- it's almost ALWAYS a beautiful day. :) Once we get the confirm, we have basically 90 days to get married, so we're making only loose plans until we get the visa itself. But the fun with the racing-snail of bureacracy doesn't end there. I can marry him, but I still have to go through some kind of interview at the nearest US Consulate to my hometown in order to get the real permission to immigrate, dangit. I live in Winnipeg, and the Embassy is in CALGARY. Argh... More plane trips...

The fur Can's gonna be a blast- I love conventions. First fur Con, but it'll be... lessee... my thirty-second actual convention. I'm an old hand at SF Cons (or maybe I'm just old). :) Even managed to afford a World-Con one year- that was pure awesomesauce.

*slurps* Glad to see YOU, too, hon! I'm almost never on the IM's anymore, due to the hours I'm online- possibly too early for most folks (and I've shifted over two time-zones from my usual location)...

And, now that KaniS has finally gotten an OS to accept the Intuos tablet (ditched Vista and re-loaded XP, which worked), I'm learning how to fiddle with the new programs. Rawr...

I've been around, sort of- mostly on FA and attempting to clear out my hotmail backlog... I dorp notes on folks when I remember. :P Been mostly getting off my slow-moving butt to do more tails and art. Gotta get on making those masks...

Further Confusion is a confirm! I'm going to my fisrt Fur Con! :D Need at least a partial fursuit. Plus, it's a good way for folks to see up close my skills and that might generate some business for yours truly... Heh.
