For the thanksgiving Family prompt; Bagshot had kept the pictures after all.

Once He Was A Boy

Two boys huddles together on a sunny day, in Bathilda Bagshot’s yard, within the frame on the mantle in her living room. Their arms are linked and their heads are close as they whisper to each other through their summer smiles.

She doesn’t know what they are saying.

Bathilda had took her nephew in, and introduced him to her neighbours. She didn’t understand how such a charming and well behaved boy could be expelled. Didn’t take the time to inquire further. He was blood and he was just a boy so she took care of him, breakfast and dinner. He was bright and she delighted in his use of the library and his questions. He was making Kendra’s oldest boy happy and not making any trouble.

Two men grows old an ocean apart, shadows stretching across their continents, one forgotten in a dark cell, and one alone in the light.
