Am also working on a Dumbledore family centric comm with some friends (which will hopefully be up and running late this year/early next). Let's be friends? :D

Yes indeed! We want to link all the Dumbledore-centric communities we can find. And yay for help with figuring out lj's comm features.

Thank you!

Hi ^^ I was a member on Grindeldore, and as I love the pairing, I found it very sad that people were leaving, so here am I ^^

By the way, I'm mostly a french speaker (and writer), and I'd love to know if you would accept fanfiction in foreing languages. I know a lot of you can read french, or maybe other languages.

If you don't, I won't be able to post fics on this comm', that's why ^^; But I'll still read the other posts anyway ^^

Well, that was a good idea :)

Yes. Last me an AK as discussing, yes to French and German etc...the only thing not settled yet was organization, tagging. If we tag it French fic, than people who wants French fic will be able to find it. ...but what about the people who only wants English fic?

Would it be alright, if you use the "French fic" tag for your post, but NOT (English)"fic"? Since English is likely the language of majority, it's just easier that way.

...and post an English description of "Subject matter / title", "Language: French"? Thank you.

Have not written any AD/GG yet but I do plan to! (OK, so my bunny is AU which might be made of ick and bad, but whatever.)

*blushes*

Hey, I'm Amanda and I'd thought I was done with Harry Potter fanfiction. It kind of consumed a couple of years of my life back in high school and then, sometime before the 6th book was released, I kind of moved on.

I'd been pretty exclusively into het in HP, but somehow after I left I fell head-first into a slash fandom. And it was bloody brilliant. When some of my new friends heard I'd been into HP but hadn't read the slash, they started recommending the good stuff I obviously had missed. However, I took one look and realized, I couldn't actually read it.

I've always been really big on the canon and very few, if any, slash ships in HP have much of that to wave about. Then Rowling outed Dumbledore and suddenly... Here was a character whose romantic life I hadn't already explored and who was legitimately interested in men. Gellert Grindelwald to be precise. Plus, I've always loved the older generation.

So, I decided to seek out the fiction and have been a happy little grindeldore slasher ever since.

I too, adore the older generation. The kids can be cute, but the older people have so much more secrets. That is why one big reason why I ship Grindeldore, and like to meta about everything and everyone around them that fateful summer, be it Ariana and Alberforth, or Elphias Doge and Bathilda Bagshot.

HP was the one fandom I had problem slashing, first because the kids were too young, and there is only so much you can write about Oliver and Percy, and then I just don't find it interesting. I can so see Harry/Ron in Book 4, but they don't interest me! Not beyond freeing up Hermione to ship with Viktor anyhow, East End Boy and West End Girl!

...and then Ms.Rowling gave us East End Boy and West End Boy, yeeeah yay!

I just wanted to thank you guys for setting this up; it is too bad that the grindledore community fell unmoderated, but you guys are amazing for putting this together so we had somewhere to go. Thank you so much!
