Ok, I'm on mobile so I can only reply here, but I read a couple of the links...
To be honest I really don't see the issue, because the European servers have been in Russia for years.
I know that it might sound stupid, but not only those kind of restrictions would not apply outside of Russia (believe me they don't), they actually do not give a fuck about what the English speaking community writes.
It's one of those scare tactics that have come up and gone over the years, only this time people are actually believing that something is going to change. It's not.
Lj has been Russian for a very long time, and the placement of the servers doesn't change anything. Besides, with the new laws Drumpf wants to pass about Internet, I, as European, I wouldn't want the servers to be in the US...
