The gold was there in 1962, but not in 2012. What did the Warden do with it? Why doesn't Hauser track down the Warden for answers? As we have seen, a reported / official "death" isn't always the real deal.
The keys the Amos Bros made probably go to that door we saw earlier in the series. Surely Dr. Beauregard and Dr. Banerjee know what the Warden was doing behind that door. Or not.
