so evidently march 16th equals "mid march," for yesterday I recieved my letter from the monterey bay aquarium research institute. the fact that there were 170 applicants for 18 positions (possibly fewer, because the letter said that 6 of the positions had been closed without applicant, whatever that means) is somewhat of a balm to my soul, but

The six that got closed means the reasearches decided that they had better things to do than work with an intern, or no one applied for those positions.
